HARFORD TAKES BLAME FOR DEFEAT
Luton boss Mick Harford shouldered some of the blame for his side's 1-0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Swansea City.
Harford was set to substitute Sol Davis just moments before the defender received his second yellow card of the game after a rash challenge on Thomas Butler, who later scored Swansea's winner ten minutes from the end.
Speaking after the game, Harford, who has been suffering from a lost voice, said: "We are very frustrated and the sending off killed us. I will take some of the blame because I was minutes away from substituting Sol. He had already got one booking and then got the second after a rash challenge.
"It was very disappointing because we played well. However, we will keep battling and fighting on.
"We need to start winning games soon, but hopefully the fans that travelled down tonight will be encouraged by the performance.
"Swansea are a good side, but our back four kept them at bay. The only disappointing thing for me was that we gave the ball away cheaply."
