The First Team maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a very impressive 2-0 win over Southampton Saints to move into fourth place.
A high tempo start saw Luton rewarded when Michelle Byrne`s corner was controlled at the near post by Micky Taylor who turned to smash her shot through a sea of legs into the bottom corner.
Saints rode their luck after that as Town struggled to get the decisive second goal. But that arrived in fine style when debutant Janet Ligouri placed a pass into the path of Rebecca Kane who found the far top corner to seal the points.
Some of the football and movement in this game was as good as has been seen by a Luton side at this level.

Sam Mather made it 2-0 with a low left foot strike from 20 yards after an exchange of passes with Nicky Shepherd but Hackney got back into the game from the penalty spot.
Town`s defence resisted all that was thrown at it and made the game safe with five minutes left when Tamzine Neale set Rebecca Dimmock free to fire her second goal of the game.
